Plot

On Pirate Island, Jake and his crew are searching for their pirate puppy friend, Patch. Cubby has some biscuits for him, but he still doesn't show up. Izzy wonders where he is, and on the Jolly Roger, Captain Hook complains about his missing boot, and Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones claim they didn't take it. They then go to find the dog who took the boot, and Mr. Smee finds Patch with the boot. Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones ask if they could keep Patch, but Captain Hook rejects it. He then attempts to take his boot back from Patch to no avail.

Later, Skully sees the Jolly Roger up ahead, and Jake sees Patch with Captain Hook's boot. Cubby assumes that Patch must have doggy-paddled over to the ship and jumped aboard. Since Captain Hook is planning to capture Patch, it is up to Jake and his crew to rescue Patch. Meanwhile, Captain Hook's crew chase Patch into Never Land and surround him in an old shipwreck. Jake comes up with an idea for his crew to pretend they're dogs by barking. As a result, Captain Hook's crew get distracted by the barks and Patch escapes.

Mr. Smee assumes Jake and his crew could help get Captain Hook's boot back, but Captain Hook refuses help and his crew chase after Patch themselves with Jake and his crew following. Patch is soon heading over Hurdle Hills, and Cubby reassures that Patch will be okay as long as he goes in the right direction. The right path goes to Butterfly Bluff while the left path goes to Stinkpot Swamp. Jake and his crew help Patch take the right path while Captain Hook refuses the advice and leads his crew down the left path and into Stinkpot Swamp.

Meanwhile, Patch finds Butterfly Bluff. Jake and his crew tell him to return to Pirate Island, but Captain Hook arrives, demanding his boot back. Patch then runs away and lands on a giant butterfly, who takes him into the sky. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee board another giant butterfly to catch Patch, who falls off. So, Izzy uses her Pixie Dust for him to land safely. Afterwards, Patch returns Captain Hook's boot to Cubby while the purple butterfly sends Captain Hook and Mr. Smee into a purple bush. Jake and his crew then return the boot to Captain Hook before returning to Pirate Island, where they put the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Jake asks Patch to be a part of his crew, and he accepts. Cubby's shoe is missing, and it turns out Patch has it.

On the Jolly Roger, Captain Hook laments about his boot being ruined thanks to Patch. Sharky and Bones arrive with a chest full of pirate booty. Captain Hook tries a boot on, but when it doesn't fit, he tries to force it on, and as a result, he trips into a cannon, which launches him to the top of the ship. Mr. Smee tells him a lesson about not trying a boot if it doesn't fit.
