Plot
Sharky and Bones are digging for the legendary Golden Hook on Captain Hook's orders, as its magic touch can turn anything into gold. Sharky and Bones soon come across the treasure chest and bring it to Captain Hook, who is delighted to see the Golden Hook. Although Mr. Smee tries to warn him, Captain Hook mentions that the magic won't begin until it is worn by its new owner. He puts the Golden Hook on and closes the chest, turning it to gold. Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones go to get more things to turn into gold while Captain Hook sings about seeing gold everywhere he goes, thanks to the Golden Hook. Sharky and Bones go to bring a rock, but Bones trips on a smaller rock, causing him and Sharky to land on the Golden Hook, turning them into gold in the process. Mr. Smee sees that Captain Hook has gold fever and when he almost gets turned into gold, he retreats on a rowboat.
On Pirate Island, Mr. Smee informs Jake and his crew about Captain Hook taking leave of his senses and turning Sharky and Bones into golden statues. Jake and his crew go to help Mr. Smee find a cure for gold fever. On the Jolly Roger, now turned into gold, Captain Hook vows to touch every inch of Never Land and make it his own golden paradise. Jake and his crew arrive with a net and order Captain Hook to drop the Golden Hook there. However, Captain Hook refuses to do so, and decides to spare Sharky and Bones. Izzy knows that the only way to break the spell is to destroy the Golden Hook, which would turn everything Captain Hook turned to gold back to normal, to the dismay of Captain Hook, who still adores every ounce of gold. Izzy and Cubby go to throw the net around Captain Hook while Jake distracts him.
The plan fails, as Captain Hook turns the net to gold, causing it to trap Izzy and Cubby. Jake fires back with his Mighty Captain Sword, which doesn't turn into gold, as it has powerful magic of its own. Captain Hook then sends Jake's crew and Mr. Smee rolling away before heading to Belch Mountain. As Captain Hook turns more things into gold, he is confronted by his old foe Tick-Tock the Crocodile who attempts to devour him, causing Captain Hook to flee until he realize with power of the Golden Hook he no longer needs to fear the crocodile and turns him into gold. Captain Hook hides just before Jake and his crew arrive, shocked at Tick-Tock Croc turned into gold.
Captain Hook turns Izzy, Mr. Smee, and Skully into gold before doing the same to Cubby. The tables are soon turned as Jake and Captain Hook fight on a rock, which Captain Hook turns into gold, sending him into mud. As Captain Hook wipes it off with the golden hook, he turns himself into gold. Jake soon destroys the Golden Hook by throwing it into the fiery depths of Belch Mountain, turning everything back to normal. Captain Hook mourns the loss of his gold but Jake assured Hook he still has Tick-Tock Croc who attempts to devour Hook for turning him into gold earlier. Hook is last seen fleeing deeper into the jungle with Tick-Tock in pursuit.
Jake and his crew soon return to Pirate Island to place all the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Skully then tells them to think about the things in life that have real value, like crackers.
