Spinning Vine Forest is a large forest of vines located on Crimson Isle featured in the Disney Junior animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. Visitors must be wary of journeying through the forest, due to the hugging vines that will ensnare anyone who enters the forest and will never let go.
Role in the series[]
Spinning Vine Forest first appeared in the episode "The Never Land Pirate Ball". When Red Jessica organizes a ball on Crimson Isle, Captain Hook was thrilled to be in the company of his beloved once more, but Hook cannot seem to dance. Once on Crimson Isle, Captain Hook and his crew are greeted by Jake and his crew, who were also invited. Hook smugly gloats that he will be the one to win the rose in the Pirate Ball, however, Mr. Smee and the rest of the crew informs Jake that Hook still has not learned how to do the pirate waltz. Jake and his friends agree to teach Captain Hook how to perform a special dance at Red Jessica's Never Land Pirate Ball. The last obstacle Captain Hook and his crew had to face was for Spinning Vine Forest. Smee knew of the dangers of the hanging vines from various pirate tales, but as Hook and his crew were pondering on how to past the forest, Cubby rushes past them and is quickly ensnared by the vines. However, Cubby did not panic, and knew the only way to free himself was to twirl left and right each time the vines try to grab him until he reaches the other side of the forest. After witnessing how Cubby was able to make through, Captain Hook gave it a try by twirling left and right each time the vines garbed him, until he and his crewmates made it out of the forest to Crimson Castle.
