Ratsputin is a minor character from the Disney Junior series Jake and the Never Land Pirates. He is a mouse who was once believed to be a massive rat-like creature that inhabited the various shipwrecks on Never Land. His vocal effects are provided by Dee Bradley Baker.
Role in the series[]
Ratsputin first appeared in the episode "The Tale of Ratsputin", Brewster the Beast Trapper planned to capture Ratsputin so Jake, Izzy, and Cubby can catch a glimpse of him. They initially thought Ratsputin was a big rat, but Captain Hook and Mr. Smee actually made a costume of Ratsputin to prevent anyone from finding the treasure they uncover. As Captain Hook dug up the treasure, rejoiced that he has finally found a treasure. Hook's joy is soon replaced with confusion when he discovers the containing cheese and wondering why someone would put cheese in a treasure chest and bury it underground. Suddenly a huge rodent-like shadow shows up and Captain Hook, believing that its the real Ratsputin that has come for the treasure, flees with Sharky, Bones, Jake, Izzy and Skully. As Cubby attempts to flee he stumbles and is cornered by the Ratsputin. As Cubby cowers, fearing the worse. Ratsputin soon reveals himself to be a tiny mouse. Cubby chuckles how he and Hook could be afraid of a mouse and offer some of the cheese to Ratsputin, befriending the rodent. Who quickly scarfs down the cheese much to Cubby's surprise commenting on his big appetite for a small creature. Later Jake, Izzy, Skully, and Brewster reunite who introduces his mateys to Ratsputin.
