The Purple Path is road located deep within Never Land featured in the Disney Junior animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It is said to lead to the hideaway of the Dazzle Diamond that appears at the end of the Never Rainbow.
Role in the series
The Purple Path first appeared in the episode "The Never Rainbow". The Pirate Princess's Rainbow Wand has run out of power and luckily for her, the legendary Never Rainbow has appeared over Pirate Island, across the Never Sea heading over Never Land. The rainbow leads to the Dazzle Diamond which if taped by the princess's wand will be empowered once more. However, as the crew set off, Captain Hook learns from his crew that every rainbow leads to the treasure, urging the captain to go after it. Once Hook and his crew stumble upon the Purple Path. Hook quickly devises a scheme using the various purple berries that grow nearby to color the Yellow Path purple and concealing the real Purple Path, Jake and his friend will become hopelessly lost,leaving Hook the means to retrieve Dazzle Diamond with ease.Mr. Smee, Sharky and Bones finish the coloring the fake path as Hook commanded but however they did such a good job Captain Hook couldn't tell the real path from the fake one and ignores Smee's warning that they may be going down the wrong path. Hook and his crew end up falling into a mud-pit. Jake and his crew soon reach the Purple Path noticing how late it was getting the Pirate Princess feared that the Never Rainbow would soon fade away Izzy tries to stop her but the duo slip on the fake path but were unharmed. Jake soon points out that they were on the fake path and uncover the real Purple Path that was concealed with behind the brush. Once both teams of pirates meet and the diamond, the Pirate Princess manages to recharge her wand but Hook still attempts to steal the treasure. Unfortunately for the villain, the Never Rainbow vanishes along with the diamond leaving the captain treasure-less.
