The Owl is a minor recurring character from the Disney Junior animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. He is a little owl that inhabitants Never Land. His vocal effects are provided by Dee Bradley Baker.
Role in the series[]
The Owl makes his first appearance in the episode "Captain Hook's Parrot" After admiring his portraits of famous pirate captains with feathered companions Captain Hook was determined to find his own pet. The owl was among the three early birds that Hook had to choose from but the captain found that the owl's hooting was annoying. It is last seen flying away from the Jolly Roger with an eagle when Hook decides to capture Skully during a game of hide-and-seek with Jake and his crew.
The Owl makes a brief appearance in the episode "Hook's Hookity-Hook!",as Captain Hook and his crew try to traverse a swamp,but as Hook and his crew try to cross using one of the captain's special hooks to traverse, the combine weight of the pirates cause Hook and his crew to fall into the muck.The owl briefly lands on Captain Hook's hat before flying away.
The Owl makes a brief appearance in the episode "Cubby the Brave!",when Jake and his crew find a pair of abandoned boots on their hunt for the Treasure of Spiky-Pike Peak, Jake suggests that the boots might be the legendary Boots of Bravery, in hopes of helping Cubby conquer his fear.The Owl can be spotted as Jake and his crew travel through Frightening Forest.
The Owl makes a reappearance in the episode "Little Stinkers",it can be spotted among the various creatures within Stinkpot Swamp. Jake and his crew thought the swamp would be the perfect home for the Skunk Bug, unaware that the musical sounds of the swamp would cause the Skunk Bug to multiply.
The Owl makes a brief reappearance in the episode "The Creature of Doubloon Lagoon", while cleaning the Mighty Colossus Cubby accidentally triggers a signal flare cannon that summoned a mysterious Gill Creature aboard the ship. Later in pursuit of treasure,Captain Hook chases after the Gill Creature through Spooky Swamp where he hid amongst the darkness of the swamp remaining perfectly still hoping Hook and his crew would pass mistaking him for a tree within the darkness. It wasn't until Bones used his various animal communication skills to uncover the Gill Creature who flees from the swamp into Doubloon Lagoon.
