The Golden Dinghy is an object featured in the Disney Junior animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It's a legendary golden rowboat hidden on Never Land.

Role in the series[]

The Golden Dinghy first appeared in the episode "Cubby's Mixed Up Map", Jake and his crew decide to search for the treasure while hiking through the jungle path Captain Hook switches Cubby's map with a fake one to keep Jake and his crew from finding their way to the Golden Dinghy. Soon Cubby notices that the map cause them to go around in circles and decided to check his barons and discover the map was a fake. Proves his resourcefulness and keen memory Cubby recalled all the locations leading to the Golden Dinghy. After retrieving his real map after Hook and his bumbling crew lose to some mischievous monkeys in the jungle, press on to Thumbs Up Rock and the treasure. Once at the rock Captain Hook manage to arrive and decided to claim the riches for himself but once Hook believing that the Golden Dinghy which was cover with dirt and grime was merely an old pirates tale head back to the Jolly Roger through the Never Land Jungle, only to fall into the Never Falls and were about meet their watery doom until they rescued by Jake and his crew flying aboard the pixie dust powered Golden Dinghy. The Golden Dinghy is last seen back on Pirate Island as Cubby has used it to gather a lot of bananas unknown to the young pirates their monkey companion has stowaway inside helping himself to extra bananas.

The Golden Dinghy makes a brief reappearance in the episode "Saving Captain Hook", Jake recalls the events of "Cubby's Mixed Up Map" when he and his crew used a pixie dust powered Golden Dinghy to recuse Captain Hook and his crew from plummeting off the end of the Never Falls.

Printed material[]

The Golden Dinghy only appearance in printed media is the storybook adaption of Cubby’s Mixed-Up Map.
