The Valley of the Lost is a mysterious canyon, located deep within Never Land, featured in the Disney Junior animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. Various pirate tales of the island say that all lost objects in Never Land end up in the valley.
Role in the series[]
The Valley of the Lost first appeared in the episode "The Lost and Found Treasure", where Jake and his crew journey to the Valley of the Lost to find Cubby's missing map. Meanwhile, Captain Hook and his scurvy band overhear Jake and his crew heading for the valley and they decide to follow, as the location may also hide the Jade Jaguar that Hook is searching for. While searching through the valley for Cubby's map, Jake's spyglass is stolen by a passing magpie who lives within the valley. Skully soon spots Jake's spyglass within the magpie's talons and pursues it. Once Skully finally confronts the magpie, he learns that it been the one taking all the objects within the valley to make his home. While in awe at the magpie's vast collection, Skully notices the Jade Jaguar within a chest, but before Skully could ask the magpie about it, both birds are confided within the chest by Captain Hook and his crew as they attempt to return back to the Jolly Roger. Luckily for Skully, Jake and his crew confront the greedy pirate captain through the valley, and in the confusion, Skully and the magpie are freed, Jake's spyglass and Cubby's map are returned and the young pirates befriend the magpie before leaving the valley for Pirate Island.
