- “According to my map, this is Echo Canyon. [voice echoes] Wow! Every sound we make echoes back! Listen!”
- ―Cubby
Echo Canyon is a large canyon located in Never Land featured in the Disney Junior animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. As the name suggests the canyon echos the sound emitting from within the canyon walls. The only means to leave Echo Canyon is to find two pine-trees in the path.
Role in the series[]
Echo Canyon first appeared in the episode "Trick or Treasure". Jake and his crew are having a Halloween costume party until Captain Hook steals their Halloween treasure treats. Jake and his crew soon follow the trail of treats leading deeper into Echo Canyon. Jake and his crew were a tad puzzled to how they would make it out the canyon as he tried to devise a plan they couldn't hear themselves think with the sound of there voices bouncing on the canyon walls. Jake suggests that they whisper allowing them to read Cubby's map and find the two pine-trees in the path leading the way out of the canyon.
While Echo Canyon doesn't make a physical appearance in the episode "Peter's Musical Pipes". It does make a brief cameo displayed on one of Cubby's maps over his bed on Pirate Island.
