Plot
Izzy, Michael, John, and Wendy fly onto Never Land beach to celebrate the official return of Peter Pan and Tinker Bell from the lands beyond the Never Sea. As the pirates anticipate about Peter's tales from beyond Never Land, the villainous Captain Hook and his crew spy on them, intending on stealing Peter's treasures from beyond the Never Sea. Soon afterwards, Peter and Tink return to Never Land and re-unite with their mateys.Peter shares the treasures he found from across the sea, including a powerful artifact known as the Doom Stone, which has the ability to petrify anything, and anyone. However, usage of the Doom Stone comes with a great cost: The user of the Doom Stone would soon be cursed to turn to stone themselves the more they use it, starting with the user's heart, turning them malevolent and evil. As a result, Peter is tasked to hide the Doom Stone to protect the Never World from its dark magic. Unfortunately, Captain Hook overhears this, and begins to make yet another scheme to defeat Peter Pan by turning him into stone.
Peter Pan and the pirates reach Hangman's Tree, where Peter re-assures Cubby that the Doom Stone will be hidden safe in the hide-out. However, to everyone's surprise, Hook ends up invading the hide-out, snatching the Doom Stone and escaping. Despite Peter's warnings of the Doom Stone's side-effects, Captain Hook turns him into stone, to everyone's horror. Serving true to the Doom Stone's curse, the codfish's heart (and hook) turns to stone and with it, deforms him into a darker, more powerful version of himself. Now with a heart hardened of stone, Hook declares his victory over Peter Pan and his domination over Never Land. Not wanting their petrified friend to suffer forever, Captain Jake and the Never Land Pirates make off with the statue. However, Hook refuses to let Jake and his crew reverse the spell, and makes multiple attempts to petrify Peter's mateys. Luckily, they all fail, but unluckily for Hook, both of his arms, and his boots turn into stone.
The pirates end up near Tiki Forest, where the trees hide Peter's statue. Tink gets an idea and pulls out an acorn from Wendy's necklace. Wendy reveals that the acorn was a gift from Peter that had once saved her life by protecting her. This is what encourages the Never Land pirates to plant the acorn to use its magic to save Peter Pan. They all split up into groups: Jake with Wendy to find a Sunstone, Izzy with John to find enchanted water, and Cubby, Michael, Skully and Tink to find rich soil.
On a large ledge, Hook spies on the pirates, watching them flee, but not seeing where Pan is hidden. Hook orders his crew to catch up with the sea-pups so he can force them to lead him to Pan, or otherwise be killed.
With Izzy and John, they manage to come across the Everspring Fountain in Big Bug Valley, where they find water from said fountain, before being chased by bull-beetles. Hook flies over them on his Whirly-Hook and offers to help them in exchange for Peter's location, but John refuses. In retaliation, Hook uses the Doom Stone to create a rock-slide that blocks their way (at the cost of his hat turning into stone). Izzy and John are nearly trampled, but John's buccaneering skills save them from certain doom. They then return to Tiki Tree Forest, with Hook not knowing they had survived. Hearing Jake and Wendy's voices, Hook flies over to their location, flagged down by Mr. Smee. Hook then ambushes Wendy and Captain Jake and tries forcing them into revealing the location of the petrified Pan statue. Much like before, the pirates refuse, and Hook uses his might and strength to force a cave-in upon his enemies, trapping them in there. Believing that he has finally killed Captain Jake once and for all, Hook bastes in his evilness fueled by his heart of stone. Unbeknownst to him, (but not Smee), Jake and Wendy survive the attack, find the Sunstones (which were opened up by the cave-in) and find a way out of the cave.
With Skully, Tink, Michael, and Cubby, they manage to enter Green Grove Gulch, home of Never Land's most fertile soil. Hook, Sharky and Bones follow them, still not knowing the whereabouts of Pan. Hook gains an idea and tells the musical pirate duo to wake up a bear and lure them to Cubby and co. Despite Hook's threats, Peter's pirate team refuses to tell him, in which Hook leaves them to be killed by the bear. Before they meet their end, Michael tames the bear and convinces him not to attack them. Michael, Cubby, Skully, and Tink head off to Tiki-Tree Forest, where they reveal their next location unintentionally to Sharky and Bones.
Back at the forest, Captain Jake and the others plant the magic acorn with the rich soil, nourished with the pure spring water and heated with the Sunstone. No sooner does this happen when an outraged Captain Hook, who is half-petrified discovers the pirates' survival and prepares to finish them all off for good. Hook activates the Doom Stone at the poppin-jays however they dodge the attacks, with the Tikis being turned into stone. More and more of Hook is petrified, which allows the acorn's magic to come into affect, growing a little sprout. The sprout's growth however, ends up being short-lived when Hook crushes and kills it with his stone boot, to everyone's horror. Hook has one final laugh of victory before his dark heart, corrupted by the Doom Stone consumes him and turns him into a statue of stone.'
Wendy is distraught over the loss of Peter and the memories of his 'kiss.' When questioned about this kiss, Wendy reveals that the acorn that Peter had given her was referred to as a kiss. Putting two and two together, the heroes realize that a kiss is needed to save Peter. Wendy hesitantly gives Peter a kiss on the cheek, which frees him from his stone imprisonment. Once Peter is safe and sound, he and Jake destroy the Doom Stone, which frees the Tikis from the spell, and ensures the safety of Never Land. Unfortunately, Hook remains a statue, much to the dismay of his crew. However Wendy kisses Captain Hook, which not only frees him from stone, but cures his stone-heart. As they escort him back to the Jolly Roger, Hook's crew apologizes for the trouble they have caused, noting that it was merely the Captain's orders. Peter laughs it off, claiming that Hook is always Hook, stone or not.
Having saved the day yet again, the pirates rejoice over Peter Pan being with them once again, claiming him to be their greatest treasure ever. With Peter back, he continues to guard over Never Land, protecting it from its greatest villains, all with the help of Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
