Cactus Canyon is a large cactus field located in Never Land featured in the Disney Junior animated series, Jake and the Never Land Pirates. The canyon once served as Cubby's earliest hideaway for his first treasure on the island.
Role in the series
Cactus Canyon first appeared in the episode "Jake's Pirate Swap Meet", during the annual Pirate Swap Meet, Captain Hook and his crew stumble upon a treasure map Jake and his friends were going to trade. However Jake soon learns that the map leads to Cubby's first treasure on Never Land and he didn't want to trade it. Jake soon apologized to matey and ask Hook for the map back. Captain Hook refused, claiming the treasure belongs to him before fleeing into the Never Land Jungle with Jake and his crew in pursuit. The chase finally ends at Cactus Canyon as Hook and his crew attempt to flee from Jake and his crew they fall into another one of Cubby's traps. Jake and his crew once again lend Hook and his crew a helping hand. Hook soon spots the X that marks the spot of the treasure but Jake and his crew block the greedy pirate's path. Hook demand that the young pirates get out of his way but Jake and his crew refused until Hook return Cubby's map. Hook gives up the map with little fuss to retrieve the treasure. But once Hook opens, he discovers a coconut with a pirate's hat and a silly face on it confused on where the treasure he work so hard to find. Cubby informs Hook that the coconut is the treasure and that coconut meant a lot to Cubby being the first treasure he ever found on Never Land. Hook was furious wasting his time for some worthless coconut and storms off, only to activate yet another one of Cubby's trap sending the greedy captain hurling into the air only to land in a pile of cactuses.
