Plot
In Pirate Island, Cubby tells Jake, Izzy, and Skully that the crabs in King Crab Island will hold their scuttle races today. However, Izzy states that they've also been invited to watch Queen Coralie's mermaid water ballet, which also occurs today. The crabs will hold the race at Bomeecom Bay, the same place the mermaids are going to be dancing, and Izzy and Cubby wonder if King Crab and Queen Coralie know about the events taking place at the same time. Jake and his crew then go to make sure the crabs and the mermaids are getting along.Meanwhile, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Sharky, and Bones are heading to make sure they are on time for Captain Hook's rendezvous with Red Jessica. The crabs and the mermaids then arrive to prepare for their respective events. They quickly get into a conflict about holding the events at the same time. Jake and his crew then arrive, and Queen Coralie tells them that just because King Crab won't listen is no call for unpleasantness. King Crab mentions that crabs race when the tide is just right, which is today. The mermaid ballet also occurred on that day at this place for generations. Jake and Izzy suggest they share the bay with the mermaid ballet occurring before the crab race, and King Crab and Queen Coralie accept.
After being told by Mr. Smee and Bones about the events, Captain Hook decides to get King Crab and Queen Coralie squabbling again, as he thinks they must go and he should be alone with Red Jessica. While the crabs are having their race, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, disguised as mermaids, tell them that Queen Coralie will never allow decorations around the mermaids' ballet. Captain Hook then destroys the decorations, which were used to mark the way for the big race, before leaving.
Meanwhile, the mermaids are practicing for their ballet when Sharky and Bones, disguised as crabs, capture their attention and attempt to ruin the ballet. King Crab and Queen Coralie then discuss their problems to Jake and his crew, and King Crab states that the crabs' event was ruined by Captain Hook, and Skully decides to find out what he is doing. He overhears Captain Hook and Mr. Smee deciding to stir up more trouble, and decides to let everyone know about this.
Later, King Crab and Queen Coralie are aware about the situation, and Jake has an idea about them working to get Captain Hook to leave, to which they agree. When the crabs are putting the decorations back together, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee are disguised as mermaids again. The mermaids then start the water ballet early while bringing Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. After the ballet, the mermaids send Captain Hook and Mr. Smee to the site of the crabs' race. During the race, Sharky and Bones show up, but end up being chased by the crabs, along with Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. They end up finishing the race at the same time. King Crab and Queen Coralie liked both events, and decide to do them together next year.
Back on Pirate Island, Jake and his crew put the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Cubby reveals to have brought the starting flag from the crab races as a souvenir, and Jake and Izzy have their own scuttle race. Meanwhile, Red Jessica arrives for her and Captain Hook's rendezvous, and reveals that she wanted to meet him there so they could watch the crabs' scuttle race and the mermaids' water ballet together. Captain Hook then becomes stressed and falls.
